Access Identity provides secure, single sign on authentication for Rio apps, allowing you to sign in quickly and safely.
Before you begin
Before setting up Access Identity, make sure the following requirements are fully met:
You have an Access Rio EPR user account.
You have access to a Rio based application such as Smart Notes which is available from the App store or Google Play store.
Your organisation is registered in Workspace by the Access team.
You are registered with the Access team as a user.
Linking a new Access Identity account
Follow these steps if you have never signed into Access Workspace before.
Select It is my first time signing into Access Workspace.
Enter your NHS email address.
This should be the same email registered to your Rio account.
Click Next.
A verification email will be sent to your inbox.
Enter the verification code.
Copy the code from your email and paste it into the field.
Click Verify my email address.
Enter your first and last name.
Click Next.
Create a password.
Make sure it meets all password security requirements listed on the screen.
Click Set my password.
Your new Access Identity account is now linked.
Linking an existing Access Identity account
Use these steps if you already have an Access Identity account. For example, if you have previously signed into Access Evo or Workspace.
Select I've previously signed into Access Evo.
Enter your NHS Email address, then click Next.
Enter your existing password.
Your account will automatically link once authentication is complete.
