Reviewing a summary

This article explains how to review, edit, and submit an appointment summary after transcription.

⚠️Important: Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) must review the appointment summary carefully and add any missing or relevant information before saving.


Failure to review the summary may result in inaccurate clinical documentation.


When the review screen appears

The Review Summary screen opens automatically after the appointment recording has been transcribed.


It can also be accessed from the Appointment List when the appointment status shows Ready for Review.


Review the appointment summary

The layout and content of the summary will differ depending on the selected template.

While reviewing, the following tools and options are available:

Option

Description

Full play back

Allows users to replay the full recording.

Section audio playback

Allows playback on the portion of the conversation relevant to the section listed.

The audio playback timestamps are AI generated.

Edit

Allows sections to be edited by the user.

Add comment

If a section was not covered in the appointment the text box will contain the text Add Comment. To add any information to these areas simply tap the field and add any required information.


Submit and confirm the Summary

After the summary has been reviewed and all edits are complete.

  1. Tap submit, a confirmation screen opens.

  2. Click confirm and submit.

    • The summary is submitted and becomes available in Rio.

    • The audio file is deleted for security.

    • The appointment status changes to complete in the Appointment List.
